AnnotationOverview of problems set by the transient soft X-Ray laser developed by the LIXAM at LULI installation in Palaiseau and demonstrated by a quasi stationary state (QSS) soft X-Ray laser at the PALS facility in Prague. Spatial profile irregularities of the beam and parameters of obtained 20 micron spot near the focus and its capacity to interact with targets in the extreme UV domain are discussed
