The study is devoted to two collections of plans of South Moravian castle complexes from the first half of the 18th century, today in two separate archival collections in Germany. Points out that these plans were drawn up evidently at the same time and in the same context, however, this connection is not obvious, as on the plans are locations of very different strategic importance, and besides fortification elements, the drawing of gardens is striking - this fact broadens the spectrum of possible interpretations of the purpose of these plans.
