    Our present study focuses on a physico-chemical characterization of a new class of ILs with a bis{(trifluoromethyl)sulfonyl}imide anion (abbr. bistriflate). In a previous work [1] three isomeric 1-butyl-3-alkyl-imidazolium bistriflates (where alkyl is pentyl, isopentyl, or cyclopentyl) were studied with respect to their fine differences in chemical structure. In the present work, the butyl substituent was replaced by 2-(2-ethoxyethoxy)ethyl and so the group of 1-(2-(2-ethoxyethoxy)ethyl)-3-alkyl-imidazolium bistriflates was prepared.
