    This work is focused on the synthesis of the rubidium lead chloride doped with rare earth elements (Nd, Pr, and Yb), its crystal growth by the vertical Bridgman method, and study of its basic optical and luminescence properties in visible and infrared region with respect to its possible application as solid state laser.
