AnnotationThe text is a theatre review of Anna Klimešová's production Die Reise. In cooperation with the Austrian Landestheater Niederösterreich in Sankt Pölten, which co-financed the project and on whose stage it was created, the Brno theatre platform Terén prepared a production inspired by the stories of Czech-Austrian relations. Stories about us and told through our (common) eyes. Directed by Anna Klimešová and dramaturgy by Lukáš Jiřička, we can look at a traumatic stage of our past without the „kindness“ that is so often mistaken for insight. Smiles appear to freeze. And in that moment, the wound begins to grow.
