AnnotationThe contribution presents the work of the UN International Law Commission at its 2022 session. During the final year of its quinquennium, the Commission completed two topics, conclusions on identification and legal consequences of peremptory norms of geneal international law (jus cogens) and principles on the protection of the environment in relation to armed conflicts. Moreover, the ILC adopted on first reading draft articles on immunity of State officials from foreign criminal jurisdiction. The contribution also briefly comments on the progress regarding other topics discussed by the Commision and on perspectives of its future work.
