After an introduction dedicated to Claretus himself, the paper focuses on Latin names of diseases of Greek origin (and their Czech equivalents) included in the two abovementioned treatises. The analysis of terms of Greek origin used by Claretus is accompanied by three case studies dealing with three Latin - Czech terminological pairs.
