AnnotationSingle crystals of the 1:1 layered iron silicate cronstedtite from the new occurrence in Pohled, Czech republic were studied with aid of the single crystal X-ray diffractometer with area detector. Chemical composition of some crystals were determined by the EPMA. Three types of crystals were discerned: 1) mixed crystals of polytypes 2H1+2H2 (Bailey’s group D) with 2H1 polytype dominant in most specimens; 2) new non-MDO polytype 6T2, (group A); 3) mixed 3T+1M (group A) crystals. Rare twins by reticular merohedry were identified in one 6T2 and one 3T+1M crystals. EPMA revealed minor content of Cl.
