Mixed oxides are effective catalysts in oxidation of volatile organic compounds (VOC) because of their lower operating temperature. They can be obtained by calcination of transition metal layered double hydroxides (LDH). Very often, this type of catalysts shows sufficiently high specific surface area and considerable thermal stability. The aim of this study was determination of the influence of various metal mixed oxides composition on the catalytic activity in total oxidation of ethanol and also investigation of relations between activity and physical-chemical characteristics of the catalysts.
