    AnnotationThis study examined the relationship between coping strategies and personality resources of resilience and presents the results of the research of the effects Program aimed at stress resistance enhancing, which was applied in a closed chosen groups of physically handicapped adolescents and adolescents without handicap. Within the scope of the program, during the period of four months and throughout eighteen independent meetings, specific trainings aimed at personality resources enhancing were used with focus on basic development areas in the groups adolescents. In comparison with the intact group, the physically handicapped adolescents make use of avoidance coping strategies. After the program was completed, a retest showed difference in group participants used adaptive types of coping strategies. It is recommended to support the active coping strategies by physically handicapped adolescents, specifically for the sake of their healthier lifestyle and prevention of negative consequences of stress.
