AnnotationCommercial grade isotactic polypropylene (PP) was modified by specific .beta. nucleator. The evolution of molecular and supermolecular structure was followed by several structure-sensitive methods. Lower degradability of .beta.-PP as compared to .alpha.-PP has been acribed to higher light absorbance resulting from the specific morphology of .beta.-PP.
