AnnotationWe present a method for estimating the number concentration of photon-upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) by integrating massively parallel spectroscopy (MPS) for droplet microfluidics. The MPS micrographs are processed by a convolutional neural network, which localizes the nanoparticles for automatic counting. The number concentration of UCNPs is then calculated from the number of localized nanoparticles.
