[Dataset of aerosol light scattering properties, particle number size distribution and meteorological parameters measured at ATOLL atmospheric station in Villeneuve d´Ascq, France, from 2018 to 2023.]
Description: This dataset contains long-term observations of aerosol light scattering properties, particle number size distribution, and meteorological parameters measured at the ATOLL atmospheric station in Villeneuve d´Ascq, France, from 2018 to 2023. The data have a one-hour resolution, similar to the format of level 2 data in the EBAS database (https://ebas.nilu.no/). These data were used and incorporated into the manuscript "An insight into recent PM1 aerosol light scattering properties and particle number concentration variabilities at the suburban site ATOLL in Northern France" which is currently under second review in the journal "Science of the Total Environment" (12.12.2024). The dataset of the aerosol scattering properties contains information about the hourly mean values of the total and backscattering coefficients at three different wavelengths (450,525 and 635 nm), 16th and 84th percentiles, temperature inside and outside of the measurement cell, pressure and relative humidity in the measurement cell and corresponding flag to describe any disruptions in the data (calibrations, etc.). The file "particle_number_size_distribution_2018_2023_ATOLL_Lille" contains information about the particle number concentrations of several size fractions of particles: 20-30 nm, 20-60 nm, 20-300 nm and 300-800 nm. The file "meteorology_2018_2023_ATOLL_Lille" contains wind speed, direction, temperature, pressure and relative humidity information. All datasets have UTC resolution.
