The 11-panel exhibition presented the life and work of the Czech doctor Vlasta Kálalová Di-Lotti in Turkey and Iraq in 1924-1932. The exhibition reflected her stay in Istanbul, where she gained practice in various hospitals and then went to Iraq, where she founded the first Czechoslovak hospital in Baghdad. Although her efforts to establish an Institute for Tropical Disease Research failed, she conducted research on leishmaniasis and was involved in collecting insects for the National Museum in Prague. The opening also included a workshop on the history of women in science, attended by students from Istanbul Bigli University.
