Konference je koncipována jako interdisciplinární a jejím cílem je prezentovat roli regionálních institucí ve vědě a výzkumu, zachytit současný stav regionální vědy a výzkumné činnosti a pokusit se na příkladech přiblížit roli etnologie a národopisu ve 21. století. Konference je určena pro odborné pracovníky paměťových institucí (muzeí, galerií, knihoven, archivů apod.) a akademické sféry, soukromé badatele, pedagogy a studenty a její nedílnou součástí bude také odborná exkurze.

The conference is conceived as an interdisciplinary one and its aim is to present the role of regional institutions in science and research, to capture the current state of regional science and research activities and to try to present the role of ethnology and ethnography in the 21st century. The conference is intended for professionals working in memory institutions (museums, galleries, libraries, archives, etc.) and academia, private researchers, teachers and students, and will also include a professional excursion.
