In the present communication, we will resume the results of our experimental observations on the coalescence of bubbles in solutions of surfactants. Experiments were performed using high-speed visualization of the life span of pairs of symmetrical bubbles, since their formation until their merge or disengagement. They allow the detailed investigation of how the coalescent efficiency, the bubble contact time and the transition concentration of a surface active solute, depend on the gas-liquid interphase properties at the instant of first contact between bubbles. Five non-ionic surfactants with different adsorption kinetics were investigated during the present study: n-propanol, n-pentanol, n-octanol, alfa-terpineol and Triton X-100.
