AnnotationAn ultrapermeable membrane of polymer of intrinsic microporosity (PIM) based on tetramethyltetrahydronaphthalene and bicyclic triptycene (PIM-TMN-Trip) was evaluated for simultaneous SO2 and CO2 removal. Also, separation capability of other high free volume membrane PIM-1 was tested at advanced conditions, in the concurrent presence of water vapor in the flue gas. As a cheap alternative for separation, a water swollen thin film composite membrane was tested for comparison.
