Synthesis of four series of amphiphilic dendrons will be presented. First, a pilot series of dendrons carrying different polar groups on the dendritic
periphery.3 Second, a series of ammonium dendrons with different shape of hydrophilic and lipophilic parts. Third, a series carrying phosphonium groups
prepared by more challenging procedure. And last, an advanced series of unsymmetrical amphiphilic dendrons designated for preparation of nanoparticles with enhanced properties (e.g., fluorescence).
