Článek popisuje historii lesnictví a držby lesů na území České republiky od středověku po současnost. Konstatuje, je jediná konstanta je neustálá změna, i když změny ve dvacatém století byly neobvyklé časté a zásadní.

The article describes the history of forestry and forest ownership from the Middle Ages until the present in what is nowadays the Czech Republic. It argues that the only constant feature is constant change, even though changes in the 20th century were unusually common and radical.
