Gasification of crushed wood as a model substance of biomass has been numerically studied in the plasma-chemical reactor equipped with gas-water stabilized torch that offer advantage of high enthalpy, temperature, and low plasma mass flow rate making it possible to attain an optimal conversion ration with respect to synthesis gas (syngas) production in comparison wiith other types of plasma torches. Numerical results reveal that the efficiency of gasification and syngas production slightly decreases with increasing diameter of the wood particles.
