AnnotationHere, we present the fabrication process of thin diamond films and structures grown from polyacrylonitrile (PAN) or their composites with diamond nanoparticles (DNPs). The sp3-hybridized diamond films were produced by microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition. It is possible to grow thin diamond films not only from a mixture of PAN polymer and DNPs but also from PAN polymer itself.
