Studie prostřednictvím analýzy stavebního jádra kostela sv. Ducha kláštera minoritů v Opavě, s využitím poznatků archeologického výzkumu, upřesňuje datování původní stavby kostela ve 13. století. Zároveň upozorňuje na vztahy stavby k malopolské, slezské a zejména saské architektuře 13. století (kostel minoritů v Zeitz) a na dosud komplexně nezkoumanou problematiku mendikantských kostelů s krátkými, polygonálně uzavřenými presbytáři severně od Alp.

The study through the analysis of the building core of the church of St. Spirit of the Franciscans monastery in Opava, using the findings of archaeological research, specifies the dating of the original church building in the 13th century. At the same time, it draws attention to the building's relations to the Lesser Poland, Silesian and especially Saxon architecture of the 13th century (the church of the minority friars in Zeitz) and to the hitherto comprehensively unexplored issue of mendicant churches with short, polygonally closed presbyteries north of the Alpy Mountains.
