The development and rise of China is so far the biggest global phenomenon of the 21st century. It is also evident around China, on the Eurasian continent. The thematic issue deals with (1) the preconditions of Chinese interactions in Eurasia, including China’s long-term civilizational trajectory, (2) the interactions between China and Russia, and (3) China’s interactions with other major partners, namely Pakistan, India, and Central Asian countries.
