V této případové studii autoři rekonstruují některé z intervencí do složení akademické obce v českých zemích bezprostředně po skončení 2. světové války, a to konkrétně na prominentním příkladu bývalého rektora UK a významného botanika 1. poloviny 20. století Karla Domina (1882–1953). Přibližují jeho biografii, vědecký přínos a politické angažmá. Následně na základě vybraných dostupných archivních pramenů sledují metody a opatření, kterých bylo v tomto případu použito.

This study traces the sequence of interventions into the personnel composition of the academic community in the Czech Lands immediately after the end of WW2 using the prominent example of Karel Domin (1882–1953), former rector of the Charles University and a leading Czech botanist of the first half of the 20th. The authors first highlight Domin’s biography, his scientific contribution, and political engagements. Subsequently, they follow based on available official documents from archives the methods and procedures used in this case.
