The maps are based on all available herbarium, literature and field records, which were checked and evaluated by taxonomic experts. These records are indispensable for understanding spatial and temporal patterns in species diversity and for future biological research. The results on decline of endangered species and spread of invasive plants provide important information for nature conservation authorities.
