Tato studie podává přehled základních bodů Tertullianovy teologické antropologie: všímá si Tertullianova odmítnutí platónské dichotomie duše a těla, probírá jeho stoicismem ovlivněné názory na původ lidské duše a jejího traducianistického předávání a rovněž se pozastavuje u jeho názorů na svobodu vůle a prvotní hřích. V závěrečné části studie rovněž načrtává reakce církevních autorit na Tertullianovo pojetí těchto otázek.
This paper surveys the key points of Tertullian’s theological anthropology: it discusses Tertullian’s opposition to Platonic body/soul dichotomy, his opinions on the origin of the human soul and his traducianism, both heavily influenced by Stoicism, and it touches upon the notions of free will and original sin. Finally, the article also sketches the reaction of later church authorities to Tertullian’s teaching on these issues.
