    In this paper are investigated structure and mechanical properties of Zr1-x(Ce/Y)xO2 and its modifications due to thermal treatments and variation of Ce/Y concentrations. By combining characterization techniques based on XRD and ND and non-destructive evaluation methods based on RUS ,and Acoustic Emission is emphasized a unique approach on evaluating the physical properties of these ceramics, estimate the presence of low-density regions, state of sintering, and the presence and development of small cracks.
