The pre-industrial landscape in the Czech lands dates back to the period before the main wave of the Industrial Revolution, i.e. prior to the year 1850. Its relics are not, (except for the announced and proposed landscape historical conservation areas), in the Czech Republic recorded. As the pre-industrial landscape and the segments of the pre-industrial landscapes, we consider the current landscape with a preserved secondary structure of the landscape (the land use structure), i.e. with the distribution and share of arable land, permanent crops, forests, roads and trails, or mining areas and aquatic areas that originated and developed in the period preceding the onset of the industrial society in the Czech lands.
