AnnotationThe author reflects on a key feature of academic careers today—academic mobility—and concentrates on its gendered impacts. Through the perspective of linked lives she follows couples of mobile women and men researchers. She discusses what impact academic mobility has on the partnership life of mobile researchers, in what ways women and men rearrange their partnership and family lives in relation to mobility, and in what ways academic mobility affects the lives of the partners of mobile researchers.
