Vlivy expresionistické literatury můžeme sledovat u mladých autorů z pražské části tohoto spolku (zejména Z. Kalisty a A. M. Píši) a brněnských mladých autorů již v roce 1920. Expresionismus však můžeme jen velmi obtížně chápat jako vhodné zastřešující označení pro tvorbu členů Literární skupiny poté, co byl tento spolek oficiálně ustaven (září 1921). Literární skupina totiž byla založena primárně jako spolek zajišťující vydávání časopisu Host, nikoli z důvodů programových. I do známé polemiky mezi Karlem Teigem (Devětsil) a Františkem Götzem (Literární skupina) z ledna 1922 je pojem expresionismu vnesen členy Devětsilu, nikoli ze strany Literární skupiny. Ani Literární skupina, ani František Götz tento pojem pro vymezení své vlastní poetiky před touto polemikou nepoužívali. Na rozdíl od Devětsilu Literární skupina na počátku 20. let 20. stol. prakticky nefungovala jako uskupení s pevným a všeobecně respektovaným programem. Description in English This study tries to analyse the usage of the term“expresionism” by the authors connected with Literární skupina. Influence of the expresionistic literature might be registered by the young authors from Prague part of this literary group (especially Z. Kalista, A. M. Píša) already in 1920 or by writers from Brno (mainly Č. Jeřábek, L. Blatný). On the other hand, the expresionism could be seen as a appropriate term for the designation of the works of the members of Literární skupina for the period after this literary group was officialy established (September 1921) only in a very difficult way. Literární skupina was founded primarily as a group for supporting the magazine Host, not because of the programmatic reasons. Into well-known discussion between Karel Teige (Devětsil) and František Götz (Literární skupina) from the January 1922, the term of expresionism was brought by the members of Devětsil, not by Literární skupina. Literární skupina or directly František Götz have not used this term as a designation for their poetics before this polemic. In contrast to Devětsil, Literární skupina at the beginning of 1920´s practically does not operate as a literary group with fixed and common respected programm.
