Pentadentate pyridoxal Schiff base ligand was generated by aldol condensation of potassium pyridoxylidenglycinate and pyridoxal. The complex was characterized by X-ray structural analysis, elemental analysis, spectral and magnetic measurements. Structural analysis showed that each Fe(III) center has a distorted octahedral FeNO5 core, which is sixfold coordinated through iminic nitrogen atom, two phenoxido oxygen atoms, alkoxo oxygen atom and carboxylato oxyg en atom from two Schiffbase ligands forming a rhombic arrangement of metal ions and oxygen atoms Workplace Institute of Physics Contact Kristina Potocká, potocka@fzu.cz, Tel.: 220 318 579 Year of Publishing 2018
