Příspěvek přináší edici důvěrnou zprávu o stavu české vědy a vědeckých institucích k 10. září 1945, kterou pro potřeby prezidenta dr. Edvarda Beneše vypracoval jeden z jeho osobních tajemníků a kulturní rada Kanceláře prezidenta republiky Mojmír Vaněk, působící v letech 1937–1945 jako prezidiální tajemník České akademie věd a umění (ČAVU). Upozorňuje se zde jak na problémy v činnosti ČAVU i na dobově aktuální téma struktury vysokých škol v Československu a na otázky sociálního zabezpečení přednášejících na vysokých školách.

The paper presents an edition of a confidential report on the state of Czech science and scientific institutions as of 10 September 1945 drafted for President Edvard Beneš by one of his private secretaries and Cultural Counsellor at the President’s Office Mojmír Vaněk, working from 1937 to 1945 as secretary to the Czech Academy of Sciences and Arts (CASA). Attention is drawn here to the problems in the operations of CASA and the pressing problems regarding the structure of universities in Czechoslovakia and lecturers’ social security issues at universities.
