Zdánlivá zbytečnost sběru floristických dat a neurčité popisy rozšíření typu „všude hojný“ se už botanikům mnohokrát nevyplatily. Proto je důležité zaznamenávat konkrétní lokality i zdánlivě běžných nebo jinak neatraktivních rostlin, a to alespoň zápisem do elektronických databází.

Some unattractive plants are under-recorded in fieldwork, sometimes because they are considered to be frequent and not worth of recording. In consequence, their exact distribution and occurrence frequency are badly known. The article calls for recording the distribution of plants regardless of their attractiveness or assumed frequency.
