The paper deals with geographic specificities of formants in minor place names from the territory of Bohemia. Distinctive anoikonymic areas can be formed by strongly marked, peripheral (parasystemic) formants, as well as by productive formants not displaying any regional markedness in the appellative language sphere. As an illustration, two different cases of anoikonymic areas have been compared to the corresponding common-noun areas. It has been also shown that the frequent correspondence of the isogloss bunches to anoikonymic areas, previously proved for the territory of Moravia and Silesia, is quite general and regular.
