Text se zabývá oporami pro chronologii starší fáze raného středověku, tj. zhruba obdobím od poloviny 6. do pozdního 9. století. Relativní chronologie je založena na několika stratigrafiích (Praha-Liboc, Roztoky u Prahy) a porovnána s daty získanými vědeckými metodami (14C, dendrochronologie) a izolovanými, chronologicky citlivými importy.

The text deals with supports for the chronology of the early phase of the Early Middle Ages - i.e. roughly the time period between the mid-6th and the late 9th centuries. The relative chronology is based on a few stratigraphies (Prague-Liboc, Roztoky near Prague) and compared with the data provided by scientific methods (14C, dendrochronology) and isolated, chronologically sensitive imports.
