The aim of the current study was to investigate the influence of high temperature (39°C) on the cell cycle machinery. Cultures of C. reinhardtii (21 gr) were synchronised by light/dark regime (14/10 light/dark cycle, 30°C, 550 µmol.m 2.s-1) in a laboratory scale multi cultivator. For the experiments, the cells were grown is HS medium at 30°C (control) and 39°C (sub-lethal temperature) under an incident light intensity of 550 µmol.m 2.s-1.
