AnnotationHigh frequency (above 250 kHz) magnetic oscillations are reported in COMPASS tokamak plasmas without auxiliary plasma heating. The oscillations are shown to have Alfvenic parametric scaling of frequency, that they are unaffected by changes in plasma rotation due to RMP and that generation of some of the oscillations requires significant runaway electron population to be present in plasma.
