AnnotationThe chapter explores the ontological status of mushrooms as non-human actors. Emphasising their indexicality, the chapter aims at opening new directions in theorizing and researching the world in which humans and non-humans are co-present and sometimes encounter and co-create each other to the extent where the pre-established, pre-supposed ontological delimitations start to disappear.
