The advantages of DCE- and DSC-MRI methods can be exploited by simultaneous DCE/DSC acquisition by the multi-gradient-echo (MGE) method and by joint DCE/DSC processing using the gradient-correction-model (GCM) linking the DCE/DSC signals together. This model includes additional perfusion
parameters providing supplementary information about the microvasculature. The original method combined the GCM with the 2CXM/2CCM pharmacokinetic model. Here, several other pharmacokinetic models are tested for the joint DCE/DSC processing and compared in order to get an advice on model selection.
