Příspěvek analyzuje bulharistická témata ve Slovanském přehledu v letech 1898–2014. Zvláštní pozornost je zaměřena zejména na 1. a 2. etapu existence časopisu (do roku 1939), jsou komentovány závažné bulharistické výstupy (původní i překladatelské) i osobní kontakty redaktora Adolfa Černého se spolupracovníky v oblasti bulharistiky. Stručně je načrtnut vývoj dané problematiky i v poválečných letech, kdy zvláště v desetiletí po Únoru 1948 a za tzv. normalizace docházelo k politizaci bulharistiky v rámci celkové ideologizace vědy.

This contribution analyzes Bulgarian subjects in the Slavonic Review in the years 1898–2014. Particular attention is devoted to the 1st and 2nd stages of the journal’s existence (before 1939), and important findings by leading scholars of Bulgaria are discussed, as are the personal contacts maintained by the editor-in-chief Adolf Černý, along with those of his friends who also specialized in Bulgarian studies. The development of the field in the postwar years is also briefly sketched out, with special emphasis on the decade following the putsch in February 1948 and the so-called normalization period, when Bulgarian studies were politicized within the framework of an overall ideologization of scholarship.
