Description in EnglishThe article analyses Ye Shitao’s early post-war short-stories, which by its unique character do not meet general characterization of writer’s later literary work. The article primarily focuses on representation of Taiwanese history, as a main entity in the articulation of one’s national identity in the crucial, early post-war period. Secondly, it traces re-occurring motives which interlink these short-stories and contextualize them within the whole writer’s literary work.
