Cílem příspěvku bylo informovat veřejnost o výsledcích záchranného výzkumu v trase silničního obchvatu Kolína v letech 2008-2009. V předstihu bylo prozkoumáno několik desítek sídlišť a pohřebišť z pravěku a raného středověku, která dokládají téměř kontinuální využívání zdejší krajiny. Nejvýraznějším výsledkem je zachycení čtyř neolitických rondelů. Zpracování si vyžádá dlouhá léta, již nyní ale lze konstatovat, že v některých obdobích, zejména v neolitu a eneolitu a v době železné, plnilo dotyčné území centrální funkci se stabilním využíváním některých poloh.

The aim of the work is to report on the results of rescue excavations that took place along Kolín's by-pass road between 2008 and 2009 to the public. Several dozens of prehistoric and early medieval settlements and burial sites were examined in advance; these demonstrate evidence of the almost continuous utilisation of this landscape. The most striking result is the capturing of four Neolithic rondels. The processing work will require many years, but already now it can be said that in some periods, particularly the Neolithic and Eneolithic and in the Iron Age, the said territory played a central role with the steady utilisation of some locations.
