The case of the extreme rainfall of 20th September 2014 which caused local flooding in the Northern Bohemia area will be studied. The response of the small stream (Milešovský potok) catchment will be shown on the data from the hydrological station which has been recently installed. The meteorological measurements from the near Milešovka observatory will be used as well. The COSMO NWP model with the resolution of 1.1 km and with 2-moment microphysics considering 6 types of hydrometeors (cloud and rain water, ice, snow, graupel, hail) will be applied and the influence of radar and METEOSAT data assimilation on the precipitation forecast will be evaluated.
