Článek předkládá výsledky autorových původních filosofických zkoumání fenoménu hodnot a jejich místa v rámci lidské existence. Autor se zabývá zejména otázkou zdroje hodnot a zkoumá, jakou roli hrají hodnoty v rámci rozvrhování subjektu do budoucnosti. Na základě této fenomenologické analýzy navrhuje ontologii, která pojímá 'mětí' jako neoddělitelnou součást bytí.

The chapter presents the outcomes of the author's original philosophical inquiry into the phenomenon of values and of their place in human existence. Especially, the author deals with the question of the origin of values and examines the role played by values in a human subject's projection of themselves into the future. On the basis of this phenomenological analysis, an ontology is suggested, which regards 'to ought' as an integral part of being.
