Nucleotide analogues adefovir dipivoxil and tenofovir disoproxil are drugs used in the treatment of viral infections such as hepatitis B and AIDS, respectively. We have found no clinically significant effects of these drugs on the expression of cytochromes P450 genes. The data support the evidence of their safety with respect to drug-drug interactions.
