A computational model of the tests was developed in a finite element software package using our own constitutive model tailored for NiTi-based SMA and simulations with various sets of material input parameters were performed. Detailed analysis of results of these simulations helps to better understand how each material parameter influences the net response of the film to a nanoindentation test.
