Ten potential probiotic bifidobacterial strains were tested for their stimulatory properties. Two Bifidobacterium longum strains with different immunomodulatory capacity were selected for analysis in experimental model of ulcerative colitis and the strain B. longum CCM 367 was found to be efficiant in prevention of ulcerative colitis in mouse model
