AnnotationThe zwitterionic silica-based monolithic columns (0.1 mm × 150 mm) containing phosphorylcholine functional groups were successfully synthesized by grafting of 2-methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine to the monolithic silica. These columns are designed especially for separation of negatively charged compounds, e.g., nucleosides, nucleotides and organic acids, by hydrophilic interaction chromatography.
