Studie o niterném, intimním a "tichém" charakteru Zrzavého obrazů a postav, v nichž mlčení je spojeno se sněním, zamyšlením, vzpomínáním, ale i se steskem, slzami (obraz Hoře,1915), truchlením (vdovy) a konečně i se vznešeným, svatým tichem (Kristus a Jan, 1929).

An essay on the inward, intimate and "quiet" nature of Zrzavý´s images and figures, in which silence is associated with dreaming, reflection, remembrance, but also with sorrow, tears (painting Grief, 1915), mourning (the iconography of widows), and finally, with the magnificent, sacred silence (Christ and John, 1929).
