Vánoční písně a koledy, obyčeje a betlémy patří k charakteristickým znakům české vánoční kultury. Kritická edice zachycuje koledy zapsané v posledních šesti stoletích na území jižních Čech, Vysočiny a Pošumaví. Jejich textový obsah je nejčastěji spojen s křesťanskou událostí narození Ježíše Krista a ději s aktem zrození souvisejícími.

Christmas carols are one of the characteristic features of Czech Christmas. This publication is a collection of Christmas carols that have been recorded in the past six centuries in South Bohemia, the Highlands and the Bohemian Forest region. The textual content is usually connected with the Christian story of the birth of Jesus Christ and other related events.
